Radiant heating is one of the most comfortable and efficient heating systems available. Homes with radiant heating systems installed can expect a 20 to 40 percent decrease in heating bills. Radiant heat offers more comfort than forced air systems because the heat radiates from the floor and stays where you are; This is in stark contrast to forced air systems which allow much of the heat to rise to the top of the room.

In a typical radiant heating system, warm water runs through a specialized plastic tubing underneath the floors in your home. There are a variety of different hot water heat sources to choose from.

As seen in the illustration at left, radiant heating can work well for any room in your home, and can even be used to efficiently heat garages and de-ice driveways. Thermostats can be used to control any number of rooms.
